04 Avoid gas-producing food Eating gas-producing food or drink will lead to abdominal distension, thus aggravating breathing difficulties, COPD patients should avoid carbonated drinks, beer, spicy cabbage and so on.

Copd patients try to eat 5-6 small meals a day to reduce the burden on the stomach, eating three large meals a day may make COPD patients worse, because a large meal needs to consume more energy and oxygen, which means that other body functions use less oxygen.
